Subject: inclusivity resolution

Kathleen Eagle,

resident of the City of Homer

I speak in favor of the Inclusivity Resolution (Resolution 17-019).  I favor it for all the reasons clearly stated in the resolution with the general idea that it helps define Homer as a place where all are welcome and that undo efforts will not be made to "hunt down" or illegally identify people to determine their status of any kind.  I agree that proper paperwork that law enforcement should be able to do their jobs and they should not be impeded.  While doing so, no profiling is acceptable.  More than anything it is important that Homer be a safe place for all.

I highly encourage the council to adopt Resolution 17-019, which requires no major changes in laws or enforcement, but more defines how we uphold human and civil rights.

Thanks for your consideration,

Kathleen Eagle
